Watson resident Joseph Morris has been sentenced to 11 years in prison on drug charges.

The 47-year-old Morris pleaded guilty to a count of delivery of methamphetamine and was sentenced Thursday. Morris will be placed on three years' mandatory supervised release once out of prison.

Morris was arrested on the delivery charge in May, along with several other lesser counts. A separate case of possession of cannabis was dismissed as part of Thursday's plea to the more serious charge.
