Body Found in Rural Lawrence County Identified

Illinois State Police announced Thursday morning that they have positively identified the body found three weeks ago in rural Lawrence County as that of Edward E. Hataway of Olney. Hataway was reported missing on September 20th, 2012. Hataway's body was found in a drainage ditch off Cahokia Trace Road in Red Hills State Park.

Hataway was working as a bartender at a reunion at the Olney Knights of Columbus when he was last seen on September 16th.

The Illinois State Police and the Olney Police Department are continuing the investigation into Hataway's death.
