Police Investigating Incident at Joe's Liquor Cabinet

Effingham City Police are investigating an incident early Tuesday morning at Joe's Liquor Cabinet on Fayette Avenue.

Effingham Police Chief Jeff Fuesting said police were notified of the incident at 7:19am. The glass was broken out of the front door of the establishment. The store was closed at the time the incident was discovered.

Fuesting said investigators are attempting to determine whether anything is missing.

Fuesting also said police are checking to see whether the incident is connected to the break-in at Beerport in Edgewood that was reported earlier Tuesday morning.
