Three vehicles were involved in a crash on I-70, just west of Montrose, just after 3pm Monday.

State police report a vehicle driven by 65-year-old Patricia Webb of Rockingham, North Carolina stopped due to a traffic backup. 59-year-old Kristopher Airgood of Kokomo, Indiana was traveling behind Webb and struck the rear of Webb's vehicle. 29-year-old Jennifer Boehm of Greenwood, Indiana was traveling behind Airgood and struck the rear of Airgood's vehicle. Police are still investigating the order of impact.

Boehm and Airgood were both injured, as was Airgood's passenger, 56-year-old Adora Brice of Kokomo, Indiana. All three were taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Boehm was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
