Montrose Resident Injured in Crash in Effingham

City police investigated a crash with an injury Thursday evening at Wernsing and Park.

Police say a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Candice Frese of Montrose rear-ended a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Courtney Dalton of Effingham. Frese was injured, but refused treatment. 

Frese was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
