Three people, including a child, were injured in a noon hour crash Wednesday near the intersection of Keller Drive and Evergreen Avenue.

City police say a vehicle driven by 74-year-old Mary Pemberton of Farina struck a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Amanda Smith of Effingham, causing Smith's vehicle to leave the driving lane and become high-centered on the raised median.

Smiith and her seven-year-old passenger, Myhia Smith of Effingham, were both injured and were taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Pemberton was also injured and was taken by private vehicle to St. Anthony's.

Pemberton was cited for improper lane usage.

The crash happened just after 12:30pm.
