Shimkus Discusses North Korea During Visit to Effingham

Congressman John Shimkus said everyone is glad that things seem to have toned down in the war of words between the United States and North Korea. Shimkus did note, though, that the US is scheduled to engage in military exercises with the South Korean army, so the situation bears continued watching.

Shimkus was in Effingham Thursday morning for a visit to a local business and dropped by our studios.
