A Shobonier man has been sentenced in Fayette County to five years in prison.

29-year-old Zachary Hawk was given the prison time on counts of burglary and theft. Fayette County State's Attorney Joshua Morrison said Hawk broke into a garage earlier this year and stole a variety of items.

Counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, theft, and resisting a peace officer were dismissed as part of the plea.

Hawk is already in prison on a conviction from Clinton County; his Fayette County sentence will run concurrent with the Clinton County term. He will serve two years mandatory supervised release once out of prison, must pay court costs and must make restitution.
