Teutopolis school board members Monday approved a voluntary reduction in work hours to 24 hours a week for Brandi Lidy.

Lidy will serve as a teacher aide for the new preschool program beginning in the Teutopolis district.

The program will be a tuition-based program and will meet half-days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The Board also hired Diane Bierman as junior high part-time cook; Michael Vogt as high school boys tennis coach; and Terry Kimpling as JV girls tennis coach. It was also agreed to increase Toni Hawkey's hours by one hour per day.

Board members were updated on the Village of Teutopolis' new Tax Increment Financing district and how the new school funding law could impact the school district; and voted to approve a $500 fee for the Health Occupations class for the coming school year.

There was also action related to the new fiscal year budget. The Board approved a tentative budget, and authorized abatement of the Working Cash Fund in the amount of $100,000 to the Operations and Maintenance Fund.
