Tuesday at the State Fair

Tuesday, August 15th is Agriculture Day at the Illinois State Fair. New in this year, the Illinois State Fair has instituted a new mid-week discount admission day. On Tuesday, adult admission is lowered to $5.00 all-day.

Illinois agriculture, which is featured throughout the fair, is also highlighted on this day. The recently named Grand champion junior livestock including the barrow, steer, wether, poultry trio and rabbit trio will be auctioned off at the Governor's Sale of Champions.  Also sold at this auction will be the best of the best in Illinois processed foods.

Here are just a few highlights of the events for Tuesday:

•      Lincoln Stage : Auctioneer & Bid Calling Contest at 10am

•      Enclosed Arena: Draft Horse, Mule & Pony Show beginning at 10am

•      Ag Tent: Cutest Little Farmer Contest at 12pm

•       Ag Tent: Autograph Session w/Nascar Xfinity Series driver Justin Allgaier at 3:30pm

•      Livestock Center: Governor's Sale of Champions at 5pm

•      Rising Star Stage:  Eric Burgett at 6pm

•      Ag Tent: Daily Ag Tours at 10am

•      Multi-Purpose Arena: Truck & Tractor Pulls at 7:30pm

•      Grandstand: Sublime with Rome featuring Blues Traveler at 7:30pm
