Olney Man Injured in Motorcycle Crash

An Olney man was injured in a motorcycle crash in Clay County early Monday morning.

50-year-old Jesse Henry was riding on US Route 50, two miles west of Flora, just before 4am when he encountered a deer on the highway. Henry attempted to miss hitting the deer and fell off the cycle onto the pavement. His cycle continued off the roadway into a creek.

Henry was taken by ambulance to Clay County Hospital in Flora, then was airlifted to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

Henry was wearing a helmet.
