Injury Crash in Montrose Saturday

A crash in Montrose over the weekend left an Effingham woman injured.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Jessica Mueller of Effingham stopped at the stop sign at National Road and Springcreek Road and was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Kelsey Beard of Toledo. The crash happened at 6:55pm Saturday.

Mueller was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Beard was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
