Alaina Miller is Little Miss Pigtail for 2017.

Alaina's pigtails measuring 23-1/2 inches were the longest among the many measured by members of the Effingham County Pork Producers Tuesday evening at the Effingham County Fair.

Alaina is the seven-year-old daughter of Justin and Teresa Miller of Effingham.

It was a close contest this year; first runner-up Ruby Koester's pigtails measured 23-1/4 inches. Second runner-up Kenzie Dust's pigtails measured 22-1/2 inches.

Alaina was crowned by 2016 winner Myra Christie.
