An Edgewood man has received an eight-year prison term for a drug offense.

41-year-old Donnie Loy had pleaded guilty in May to a count of methamphetamine manufacturing in exchange for a cap of 14 years in prison when sentenced.

Loy was arrested in March of 2016 on meth charges after a house fire in Edgewood. A charge of meth possession was dismissed as part of the plea.

In addition to the prison time, Loy will serve three years' mandatory supervised release once out of prison, plus pay costs and restitution.
