LLC Alumni Board Holds Annual Meeting

The Lake Land College Alumni Board elected new officers, recognized outstanding contributors and created plans for the 2017-18 year during its annual meeting.

New officers were elected for 2017-18 include Austin Frank, Laker Nation Class of 2006, Mattoon, president; Rudy Huber, Laker Nation Class of 1976, of Sullivan, vice president; Hannah Crnkovich Laker Nation Class of 2007, Windsor, secretary; Terry McConnell Laker Nation Class of 1973, Mattoon, financial liaison/treasurer; and Chris Swing, Laker Nation Class of 2001, Lerna, immediate past president.

The board presented Swing with an appreciation plaque for his service as president for the 2016-17 year. Members also presented the annual Golden Apple award to Huber for his work on behalf of the alumni.

The Lake Land College Alumni Board has many activities planned for the upcoming year as the college celebrates its 50th anniversary and welcomes home alumni for Laker Homecoming the weekend of Sept. 29-Oct. 1. New members of the Distinguished Alumni Society and Athletics Hall of Fame will be inducted and Laker Alumnus, Brian Henningsen, Laker Nation Class of 1981, returns home with his son, Aaron and daughter Clara for the trio’s final performance together.
