(HERE'S AN OUTLINE OF THE AREA BEING TESTED ON MONDAY)

Smoke testing is being done in a portion of Effingham.

The work will be going on from 8am to 5pm, involving smoke testing of sanitary sewers. The affected area is north of Evergreen Avenue between 4th Street and the Canadian National Railroad.

The testing will continue through the week until the process is completed.

The City of Effingham says smoke testing will be done Tuesday in the Park Hills area, from 3rd Street on Evergreen Avenue to Oceola Street. That area should take about two days.

When the work is finished in Park Hills, crews will move on to Kralman Subdivision. That work is also expected to take about two days to complete.
