A renewed push is getting underway to complete fundraising for Harmony Playground, a playground accessible to all.

The playground will be located east across Maple Street from Workman Sports and Wellness Complex.

The cost of the project is estimated at $700,000. $400,000 of that amount has been raised. Aaron Myers, who has headed up the fundraising effort, said that his group of volunteers is utilizing Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation to coordinate fundraising and earning interest on the funds collected to speed the money raising toward the goal.
