The Effingham County Relay for Life is one day away.

Opening ceremonies are set for 5pm Friday, followed by the survivors lap and caregivers lap at 6pm. The luminaria ceremony will begin at 9pm with luminaria lighted in honor of, or in memory of, those with cancer.

Here's the Main Stage schedule: music by Blake Hayes at 7:30pm, music by Bad Daddy at 9:30pm, music by Josh Koester at 11pm, Panty Hose Bowling at midnight, a dance off at 1am, water games including a team shower and sponge toss at 2am, and land mines at 3am.

The Track Stage schedule includes: music from Whiskey Bend at 7pm, music by Jared Chesnut and Josh Morrison at 9:30pm, spirit point theme laps beginning at 10pm, a bags tournament at 11pm, and pool noodle hockey at midnight.

550 people took part in Relay for Life last year, raising $148,500 in the battle against cancer.
