The Effingham Public Library has announced that its 2016 Summer Reading Program for Adults won national acclaim with a “Best of Show” marketing award for libraries with annual operating budgets under $5 million. The award is being presented on June 25 during the American Library Association Annual Conference in Chicago.

This is the fifth time the Library’s marketing work has been recognized at this national event; it has now won 4 Best of Shows and one Honorable Mention.

390 entries from across North America were submitted in print and electronic formats from a wide variety of libraries including public, academic, school, state, and consortiums. Entries were evaluated on content, originality, design, and effectiveness by a team of experts in public relations, graphic design, communications, and marketing who select the winner in each category.

The awards, which recognize the very best in public relations materials produced by libraries across North America, are given by the Library Leadership and Management Association Public Relations and Marketing Section PR Xchange Committee.
