Teutopolis native Gregg Lohman, longtime drummer for entertainer Kellie Pickler, is now the drummer for country singing star Easton Corbin.

Lohman said the change occurred about a month ago. He said it was tough to leave Pickler, who is heavily involved now in television, but her TV commitments led to less happening musically. He said Pickler was very understanding and respectful of Lohman's decision.

Lohman termed it a "whirlwind kind of thing". He said he subbed with Corbin's band for a weekend and said "it worked out". Lohman said Corbin is "a super nice guy" and said he already knew some of Corbin's other band members, so that's helped smooth the transition.

Lohman said it's nice to be busier. He said they're performing two to three times a week and "every weekend there's something."

Corbin has a new song out and is working on an album, so Lohman said there's a lot going on.

Prior to his years with Pickler, Lohman was country singer Aaron Tippin's drummer.
