The Dieterich Board of Education has filled a vacancy on the board, appointing Anita Bierman to a four-year term.

Bierman was one of six candidates interviewed for the spot on the Board. Not enough candidates ran to fill all of the seats on the Board in the April election.

The Board also accepted resignations from Kelly Davis as junior high and high school Scholastic Bowl coach and from Kim Lane as high school cheerleading coach.

The Board also hired River Fisher as district music teacher, Whitney Hoegger as an elementary aide, and Anna Shadle, Colby Leverette and Hunter Kinnison as summer workers. Also, coaches and sponsors were re-hired, and guidance counselor Ashley Kreke was reassigned from half-time to three quarter time.

The Board also approved handbook changes, and approved the purchase of uniforms for cross country, high school volleyball and junior high baseball.
