Effingham Junior High School teacher Stephanie Mitchell is finally be able to talk about how she did during her appearance on "Jeopardy!"

The episode of the long-running television show on which Mitchell appears aired Wednesday evening.

A viewing party hosted by Farmers Insurance agent Jen Hurley was held Wednesday at the Effingham Performance Center, open to the public. Farmers is the national sponsor for the Teachers Tournament airing this week.

Mitchell made an appearance on our Morning Show Wednesday to discuss her appearance. She said she applied for 12 years to try out for the show and was chosen to appear on the Teachers Week series of episodes.

She was sworn to secrecy about how she did on the show until it aired. She told us that, being an English teacher, her chosen categories would focus on that area and said Shakespeare would be her dream category.

By the way, Stephanie said program host Alex Trebek and everyone else connected with the show were great to work with.
