Portion of South 3rd in Effingham to Re-Open Monday

The portion of S. Third Street currently under construction between Fayette Avenue and KTD Computers (403 S. Third Street) in Effingham will be opened to local traffic only (residents and customers of Rootz Salon and Spa, KTD Computers and Griffin Therapeutic Solutions) on Monday, May 8.  Access to this portion of S. Third Street will be from Fayette Avenue and the alleys North of KTD Computers only.  Some work remains on this section of S. Third Street so please use caution when using the street.  Customers to  Rootz Salon and Spa, KTD Computers and Griffin Therapeutic Solutions will be allowed to park along the curb on the newly completed street improvements.

The portion of S. Third Street from KTD Computers (403 S. Third Street) to South of the CSX Railroad will be closed to all traffic beginning on Monday, May 8. National Avenue will be closed at Third Street. Residents along this portion of S. Third Street will need to use alleys to access their homes.
