A defense motion has been filed to appoint an expert to determine David Croy's fitness to stand trial in his Cumberland County armed robbery case.

The motion filed Monday morning also seeks a determination of Croy's mental fitness at the time of the robbery.

The 68-year-old Greenup man is charged with the armed robbery of the Greenup Dollar General store on March 22. Croy was apprehended the evening of the incident and is being held in Cumberland County Jail. His bond has been increased to $100,000.

Croy is due to go on trial on June 21.
