May 1 Deadline for Filing Statement of Economic Interest

Effingham County Clerk Kerry Hirtzel is reminding that the deadline for all elected or appointed officials to file a Statement of Economic Interest is May 1.

Hirtzel said those in Effingham County who are required to file have been notified.

Failure to file by the deadline of May 1 will result in a filing fee of $15.

After May 15, the fee is $100 per day plus the $15 filing fee.

After May 31, failure to file will result in a forfeiture.
