Noon Rotary Honors 2017 Scholar Athletes

The Effingham Noon Rotary Club Wednesday took time to honor top athletes at St. Anthony and Effingham high schools who also excel in the classroom.

The Scholar Athlete Luncheon has been a Noon Rotary tradition for many years.

Noon Rotarians Mark Doan and Charlie Brumleve co-chaired the event, and Effingham Activity Director David Woltman and St. Anthony Assistant Principal and Athletic Director Kevin Palmer announced the recipients assisted by EHS Principal Jason Fox and Brumleve.

Students are honored for lettering in one or more sports during their senior year while also maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or better.

Effingham High School students honored include Kaitlyn Baker, Jacob Bushue, Brendan Dawkins, Alexandria Denoyer, Jade Depoister, Jacob Donaldson, Victoria Garren, Mikayla Greene, Camryn Heuerman, Brett Hodges, Ryan Huelsbusch, Nick Katz, Laurel Light, Abbey Meinhart, Alexis Monnet, Antonio Munoz, Hannah Pike, Cierra Rush-Inman, Riya Shah, Andrea Sills, Harrison Smith, Callaway Smith, Colby Utz, Sidney Webster, Meredith Wendling and Grant Wolfe.
