Jasper County Native Killed Friday in Indiana Crash

A Jasper County native was fatally injured Friday morning in a crash in Indiana.

Investigators said 34-year-old Amanda Leonard, who now lives in Mt. Carmel but has also lived in Olney, was traveling on a state highway in Gibson County, Indiana about 5:30am Friday when a car crossed the centerline and struck Leonard's SUV head-on. Leonard was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was airlifted to an Evansville Indiana hospital for treatment.
