Fatal Crash Outside Central City

A Centralia man was fatally injured in a single-vehicle crash in Marion County over the weekend.

State police report a pickup truck driven by 54-year-old John Oettle of Centralia was traveling on Green Street Road east of Brick Hill Road about a mile east of Central City when the crash happened at 2:28pm Saturday.

Police say the pickup crossed the center line and off the roadway to the left, striking a tree. Oettle was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
