The Cross Foundation has announced plans for this Easter weekend at The Cross at the Crossroads.

The annual Good Friday prayer service will begin at 7pm Friday in the Cross Welcome Center.

Pastor Roger Marshall of First Baptist Church of Effingham will offer the prayer and reflection, and will invite guests to gather at the foot of The Cross following the service. Music will be provided by First Presbyterian Church of Effingham.

The Cross will be lighted in red on Good Friday through Holy Saturday morning.

The annual Easter Sunrise Service will begin at 6am Sunday under the arms of The Cross.

Jared Chesnut of First Church of God in Effingham will deliver the Easter message.

A limited number of seats will be available, but guests are welcome to take along lawn chairs or blankets. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held in the Cross Welcome Center.

People of all faiths are invited to attend both events.
