The Effingham Public Library has announced the launch of its Annual Fund 2017. The theme of this year’s Annual Fund is Read, Imagine, Grow! This year’s Annual Fund benefits from an offer by Dr. Richard and Angie Workman to match dollar for dollar every financial gift the Library receives up to $25,000.

The goal for this year’s campaign is $60,000 and monies raised will be used to provide improved landscaping with edible plants, make up the Library’s state budget shortfall, and help reduce the library’s building debt as quickly as possible, thereby minimizing interest payments.

Those who have previously supported the Library financially will receive a mailer from the Library. Anyone who hasn’t been able to support the Library previously but would like to help now can contact the Library Director, Amanda McKay, at 217-342-2464. Payments can also be made by credit card on the Library’s website through the ePay feature.

The library’s youngest readers can also experience philanthropy through the $1 Clyde Paw Challenge. Children who visit our Youth Department and donate $1 will receive a Clyde Paw Challenge Sticker that they can sign and add to a yearlong Clyde Window Display to show their support of the library.

For further information call the Library on 217-342-2464 , email info@effinghamlibrary.org or go online at www.effinghamlibrary.org
