Panera Bread Coming to Effingham

Panera Bread is officially coming to Effingham.

A site plan for the restaurant is on the April 11 agenda of the Effingham City Plan Commission. The restaurant will be located off Keller Drive in the same area as Taco Bell, Chipotle and Panda Express. The area is being developed by Wortman Properties.

Panera is known in the St. Louis area as St. Louis Bread Company. The company just recently sold to JAB Holdings. In 2008, Health magazine named Panera as America's healthiest fast casual restaurant.
