Lisa Teichmiller will be the keynote speaker at the 43rd Annual Employee Appreciation Luncheon sponsored by the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce. The event will be held on Friday, May 5th at the Thelma Keller Convention Center from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.

Lisa is the Network Developer for the Effingham County CEO Program and the recently appointed CEO Facilitator. Her topic will be “Celebrating The Intrapreneurs of Effingham County.”

According to Lisa, “It may take a single entrepreneur to start a business, but it takes a team of “Intrapreneurs” within an organization to create synergy and dedication to grow a company’s success. Even millennials are embracing the intrapreneurial style of work. The most valuable employee may never start their own company, but they have learned the principles of entrepreneurial thinking to solve problems and create a sustainable culture within a company.”

The Employee Appreciation Luncheon provides an opportunity for employers to express their appreciation to their support staff for helping make their businesses run smoothly and efficiently. Door prizes will be awarded and special recognition will be given to the 2017 Employee of the Year.

Nominations are being accepted for 2017 Employee of the Year. The award is given annually to an outstanding full-time employee who demonstrates a high level of professionalism and commitment to the business. Letters of nomination from employers will be accepted through Monday, April 17th at 5:00 p.m. Nomination forms can be downloaded from the Chamber’s website, www.effinghamcountychamber.com, or picked up at the Chamber office and submitted by mail to the Chamber, P O Box 643, Effingham 62401, by fax at 217/342-4228, or by email to bbrown@effinghamcountychamber.com.

The cost of the Employee Appreciation Luncheon is $18 per person and can be paid in advance or at the luncheon. Tables for groups of six or more can be reserved.  Reservations are required and can be made by calling the Chamber office at 217/342-4147. The luncheon is open to the public.
