Fayette County 2017 Election Results

Fayette County produced some contests on Election Day Tuesday.

A former Cowden-Herrick school district employee was elected to the district's school board in Tuesday's voting.

Rita Prosser, longtime unit secretary, was elected to the board, along with Zachary Sarver and Gregory Jones to four-year terms. Melanie Hayes Meek was the other candidate.

Four seats were filled on the Brownstown school board. Those elected are Laura Willms, Chad Towler, Andy Elam and Randy Mason. Donald Lovett and Brad Koonce were the other candidates.

The four elected to full terms on the South Central school board are Mike Vandeveer, Jason Markley, Dena Hoffman and Jeremy Chasteen. All four are currently serving on the board.

The Village of Ramsey is going wet. On the question of whether the prohibition of liquor sales should continue, 163 voted No while 103 voted Yes.

In the Village of St. Peter trustee race, Jeffrey Lotz, Doug Schafer and Matt Hoover were elected. Matthew Benning was also a candidate.
