Dieterich Woman Injured in Saturday Crash

A Dieterich woman was injured in a Saturday morning crash.

Effingham County sheriff's deputies were called to the Mason-Eberle Road, just west of 1275th Street in Union Township, at 7:15am. A vehicle driven by 29-year-old Tiffany McWhorter was traveling eastbound. McWhorter lost control of the vehicle and it struck a culvert, becoming airborne. The unit landed and then struck a utility pole with the driver's side of the vehicle.

McWhorter was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital. She was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
