Effingham Man Injured in Crash at Raney and Rickelman

An Effingham man was injured in an accident north of Raney and Rickelman on the city's north side.

Effingham City Police say the crash occurred at 9pm Monday when a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Keith Ault of Effingham left the roadway. The vehicle struck and damaged a gate and fencing owned by Mark Goldstein of Effingham.

Ault was injured and was taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Ault was cited for improper lane usage and for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
