Dr. Bunnell Retires from Clay County Hospital

Dr. Donald Bunnell has announced his retirement from Clay County Hospital. Dr. Bunnell's official last day will be Monday March 6, 2017.

Dr Bunnell has accumulated 34 years of providing superb medical care at Clay County Hospital.  He began his career with Clay County Hospital in July 1964 as a credentialed OBGYN and continued through July of 1996.  At that time he became an honorary member of the medical staff from 1996 through 2015 when he decided to come back to practice.

“Dr. Bunnell has been an invaluable member of our medical staff and has brought care to the residents of the nursing homes in our area over the past 2 years.” Says Mike McClane, Chief of Clinical Services.  “Dr. Bunnell came to us in a very difficult time and offered himself and his services to the hospital and took it upon himself to care for those residents as they have never been cared for in the past.”
