Details are available on the Wednesday morning crash on US Route 40 between Effingham and Teutopolis.

The crash happened at 5:36am in front of Effingham Animal Health Center. Effingham city police say a semi driven by 55-year-old Kimberly Holt of Corydon, Indiana pulled into the path of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 76-year-old Barbara Cornell of Teutopolis.

After impact, Cornell's vehicle left the roadway and overturned. Cornell was injured and was taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Holt was cited for failure to yield.

Travel was disrupted between Effingham and Teutopolis on Route 40 for some time after the crash.
