Additional charges have been filed against the Mattoon woman whose vehicle collided with a Teutopolis school bus a week ago.

36-year-old Scarlett McKinzie has been charged with two counts of DUI, one count alleging use of alcohol, the other alleging use of other substances. McKinzie has also been charged with four traffic offenses: operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal transportation of liquor, disobeying a stop sign, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

McKinzie's minivan was involved in a crash on Illinois Route 32 at the Bruce-Findlay Road between Windsor and Sullivan at 3:20pm on February 10. The impact caused the bus to overturn before it skidded to a stop. Seven students on the bus were taken to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center for observation and were then released. McKinzie was taken to a separate hospital to be evaulated.

McKinzie is next due in court on March 6.
