The Moultrie County Sheriff's Department reports the driver of the van that struck a Teutopolis School Bus carrying the school's basketball team and cheerleaders to a Friday night game has been arrested for driving under the influence.
36-year-old Scarlett McKenzie of Mattoon was also ticketed for failure to yield. She was taken to the hospital along with seven students on the bus. All were released after treatment.

The crash occurred on Illinois Route 32 south of Sullivan when the van driver failed to stop at a stop sign and hit the bus, causing it to go out of control and eventually to flip over on its side across the highway.

Teutopolis canceled its Friday night basketball game with Rock Ridge that was scheduled at Lincoln College in Lincoln after the wreck, however they did play in the Wooden Shoe Shootout Saturday Night defeating Marshall 73-35.
