An Effingham woman was injured in a crash in Clark County Thursday morning.

The crash happened at 7:30am on I-70, about a mile northeast of Casey.

State police report a car driven by 41-year-old Tonya Rush of Effingham was eastbound. Rush told police her car hit an icy patch and skidded out of control. The car then left the highway to the right and traveled almost 160 feet, turning clockwise while traveling down an embankment. The car then struck a row of small trees and bushes.

Rush was brought to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
