Both Drivers Injured in Crash at 32/33 Split

Both drivers were injured in a crash northwest of Effingham Tuesday evening.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department was called to the crash scene at the Illinois Routes 32/33 split at 6:22pm.

Deputies report an eastbound vehicle driven by 65-year-old Colleen Quigley of Windsor entered into the turn lane on Route 33 to turn north onto Route 32 and turned into the path of a vehicle driven by 59-year-old Michele Vonderheide of Shumway.

Quigley and Vonderheide were both transported to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Deputies cited Quigley for failure to yield.
