St. Anthony Wins at WYSE Regional

St. Anthony High School was the 300 Division winner at the Regional WYSE competition Friday at Lake Land College.
The winner qualifies the St. Anthony team for Sectional competition on March 9 at Eastern Illinois University.
Of 500 points, St. Anthony earned 493.3 points, Cumberland 426.2, Stew-Stras 397.7, Dieterich 390.3, and Neoga 379.5.
Here's how St. Anthony fared in the various categories:
Biology--Gillian Erickson 1st and Maryann Saba 3rd
Chemistry--Alex Beesley 1st place tie, John Hartke 2nd, and Rachel Wortman and Kristin Slaughter 3rd place tie
English--Aidan Bailey 1st
Math--Gillian Erickson 1st, Kristin Slaughter and Alex Beesley 2nd place tie, and Andy Saba 3rd
Physics--Andy Saba 2nd, Aidan Bailey and Jack Nuxoll 3rd place tie
Other St. Anthony team members are Ethan Rozene, Grace Zeller, Lexi Mendella, Drew Gibson, Olivia Clausius and Augie Heal.
