Two Vehicle Accident Injures Two

According to Illinois State Police at 11:40 Friday morning a pickup truck driven by Leslie E. Reed, 60 of Beecher City, turned northbound onto Banker Street from Walk Avenue into the path of a van driven by Pauline A Grames, 25 of Effingham, causing the the van to rear end the truck. The impact caused the truck to overturn several times before coming to a rest on its top in a ditch on the west side of the roadway.
 
Both Reed and Grames were taking from the scene by Ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital and then air lifted to Carle Hospital.
 
Charges are pending as the crash is still under investigation by State Police and the traffic crash reconstruction unit.
