Follow Up on Tuesday Bus Crash on North Raney

Details are now available on the Tuesday afternoon crash involving a Unit 40 school bus on North Raney Street.

We told you then that no one was injured. The crash happened at the intersection with Cliffview.

City police report a bus driven by 77-year-old Doris Percival of Effingham was stopped, and that two students were exiting the bus, when the unit was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Juan Angel of Effingham.

Once again, no one was injured. Police cited Angel on a charge of failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.

The accident occurred at 3:45pm.
