Teutopolis village board members Wednesday discussed proposed changes to the village sewer ordinance.

One change would concern installation of sewer lines. The proposal would have the Village install any sewer lines and then bill the entity that wants the sewer installed. Currently, the developer has the lines installed.

The changes could be voted on at the Board's meeting later this month.

The Board also tabled action on a proposal to accept Payment Service Network for utility billing customer payments, and discussed an ordinance regarding reimbursement for travel, meals and lodging expenses for the Village but took no action.

The Board approved a $250,000 transfer from the general fund to the building fund toward the eventual cost of a new village hall, and approved a $241,000 payment to pay off the water transmission line from Teutopolis to Newton.
