Three Arrests of Indiana Residents on Drug Charges in Altamont

Three Ft. Wayne, Indiana residents were arrested early Thursday morning in Altamont.

Altamont city police arrested 19-year-old Drake A. Wells on traffic charges of parking in the roadway, failure to signal when required and driving while his license is suspended. Police then found a quantity of cannabis in the vehicle in which Wells and two other 19-year-olds were traveling.

Wells, Terrell Smith and Dangelo Bishop were each arrested on counts of possession of 30 to 500 grams of cannabis and manufacture or delivery of 30 to 500 grams of cannabis.

The three were taken to Effingham County Jail.
