Online registration for "Cabin Fever Rx”, the 2017 Winter Reading Program from Effingham Public Library, begins Wednesday, February 1.

Created to encourage reading as well as life-long learning, the month-long winter reading program “Cabin Fever Rx!” is open to everyone in the Effingham area. Participants can choose to do as few as one or as many as twenty-eight tasks during the month of February.

Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 1 participants can register and complete tasks online at www.effinghamlibrary.org by clicking on “Cabin Fever Rx.”

Those who took part in last year’s summer reading program will be able to use the same account.

Anyone unable to remember their login details or password or just needs help registering may call the library on 217-342-2464 x. 1 or visit the Reference Desk on the second floor of the library.

Every task completed and logged online counts as an entry into a drawing for $150 gift certificate to the Firefly Grill in Effingham. Participants who complete and log 5 tasks can claim a bar of Devine Chocolate at the Reference Desk on the second floor of the library.

A library card is not needed to participate in this free program or to attend any of the events at the library.

Participants may register online at any time throughout the reading program which runs February 1 to February 28. All tasks must be logged by February 28, and all chocolate rewards must be collected by March 4.

If you have questions, please call the library at 342-2464 x1 or email info@effinghamlibrary.org.
