Fayette County State's Attorney Josh Morrison Tuesday said a man believed to be a suspect in a robbery of a bank in Farina last fall is in custody in connection with another holdup.

Morrison said the man was taken into custody in connection with a bank robbery in Indiana and believes the man remains in custody there. He believes the arrest occurred about a month ago.

The Midland States Bank location in Farina was robbed the morning of October 7, 2016. A white male entered the bank just after 9:30am, displayed a weapon, and demanded money. After receiving an undetermined amount of money, the man left the bank and was last seen on foot.

Morrison said the Fayette County case likely won't proceed until the Indiana case is concluded.
