Various opportunities were discussed by the Effingham Water Authority Board at this month's meeting.

Tent camping for leaseholders was considered.

There is no provision regulating leaseholders who want to pitch a tent on their property at Lake Sara. Options will be presented by the board members for further discussion at the February meeting.

Lease and ordinance violations were discussed.

The statute limit is $75.00. Water Authority Attorney Tony Siemer will review the process to change the current amount charged, and whether there are any options.

The proposal of a heliport on a leaseholder's property was presented to the Board. Documents were sent via email to Lake Superintendent Mike Dirks and presented to the EWA Board and to Siemer prior to the meeting. The request was made by David Orr.

The Board will complete research regarding Water Authority ordinances and any legal aspects. The issue will be discussed in further detail at the February meeting.
