North Clay school board members Wednesday re-hired district administrators for next school year.

Those re-hired were Keith Price, Jody Aldrich and Monty Aldrich for the 2017-18 school year. The one exception was Mark Storck, whose resignation as grade school principal was accepted effectve at the end of the 2016-17 school year.

The Board, in a separate decision, extended the contract of Superintendent Monty Aldrich through the 2020-21 school year.

Also approved, the expulsion of a student until the beginning of the second semester of next school year; the hiring of Wanda Schewe as a substitute paraprofessional; and further pursuit of areas in which the North Clay and Clay City school districts can co-operate. The Board also agreed to let a North Clay student compete in IHSA track meets independently.

There was some discussion on financing for upcoming capital projects, but more discussion will take place before any decisions are made. The Board did vote to purchase a tractor with loader and pallet forks from Dittamore Implement for $43,567 with a trade-in of $4,500.
